My Tsum Tsum Collection

TsumTsums!

I have always been a fan of Disney but I did not have the urge to collect the awesome toys that Disney has. When the Tsum Tsum plush first came out, I was so excited. I knew I wanted to collect them... but they were not released in the Philippines. I had little access to the Tsum Tsum plush. Then the vinyls came out. When they came out with the first series, the characters were really super adorable. I wanted them all. I hesitated at first but when I purchased and opened my first pack (Dale), I was hooked.

I currently have more than 200 of these adorable Tsum Tsums. I collected most of the Series 1 and Series 2 (even the open packs) so when Series 3 of the open packs was not released here in the Philippines, I was really disappointed. I am just glad they the Mystery Packs Series 3 and I was able to complete it.

Now that we are at Series 5, I have already mastered the "art" of feeling the bags to avoid duplicates. With this skill plus Toys R Us being considerate (they already feel the packs and label them with the names of the characters), I do not have duplicates of the Mystery Packs.

I am already done with the Series 5 Mystery packs but I am yet to purchase the open packs. I know that Series 7 has already been released in the US so my wait starts for Series 6 and 7. :)

Here are the photos of the complete Mystery Packs from Series 1 to Series 5.

Mulan Collection (as of August 2017)

Mulan has always been my favorite Disney princess. It has been contested several times is she should even be considered as a princess but princess or not, her character really struck me.

I could easily relate to her due to the strength and courage she has shown. She wasn't the typical damsel in distress that you see in most Disney movies. Don't get me wrong, I also love the others but Mulan for me was a stand out.

Understandably, not most girls fell for her charm. With this, not much merchandise was really released for Mulan.

I was always on a hunt for Mulan items and there weren't much especially here in the Philippines. With the "boom" of Disney toys, there were a variety of dolls, plush, action figures, clothes for the different princesses... but Mulan items were rare.

I started with a simple VCD of the movie. I was happy with that for I knew no matter where I look, I wouldn't be able to find much of these toys. But my patience paid off... I waited... continued searching... and before I knew it, my VCD was surrounded by a bunch of Mulan items.

My First Disney Toddler Doll

This was one of the first Mulan dolls I got. I remember going around Toys R Us and seeing this. I was pleasantly surprised and I knew that I just had to get her. It was a bit pricey for a doll. If I remember correctly, I got this for roughly P2,000.00. I didn't think, I just bought it.

My First Disney Toddler Doll
Disney Plush
I got this from the Disney Store in Jacksonville, Florida for $19.99. I didn't really have to look at the tag price before getting it. I just knew I had to get it as I have never seen one like this here in the Philippines. Bought this plush about 2 or 3 years ago and until this very moment, I haven't seen this here.

Mushu
Mushu is actually the first in the collection. Got it from Chapters and Pages a while back for about only P50.00.

Hasbro Mulan
When Hasbro released their new Disney Princesses, I was ecstatic to find out that Mulan was one of the characters they featured.

Mulan Funko Pop
I started my Funko Pop collection with the gifts of my brother and my parents (Harry Potter Pops : Now that's a new blog all together). Upon starting my Funko obsession, my aunt from Florida saw my FB post and immediately took dibs on buying a Funko Pop Mulan for me.  Of course I had to complete the Funko Pop collection by buying Mushu and Cricket.

Disney Infinity Mulan
I just had to get this though I didn't have the console for it.

Little Kingdom
As usual, Mulan was not released with the first batch of Little Kingdom toys here in the Philippines. I was already collecting the Disney Princesses of Little Kingdom not knowing that Mulan would eventually be released. I remember seeing the Little Kingdom for the first time at Toys R Us at Greenbelt 5. I immediately got it and even looked for another one. I wanted to get more than one of her and I did (when I found her in other toy stores). I was able to get 3 Little Kingdom Mulan (Mulan in a bun).

The second Little Kingdom Mulan (short hair) was a pleasant surprise as well. I got two of her. One I kept in a box and the other one I opened.

Itty Bitty
Again from my aunt in Florida. Glad she got it for me as there are no Itty Bittys available in the Philippine.

Mulan Animator Doll
Also from Florida, the Mulan Animator doll was sent to me together with the Itty Bitty. I have been looking for this doll for years. Though this series was released in the Philippines, I never did find a Mulan doll.

Mulan Little Animator Doll
Thanks to online sellers, looking for hard to find items (especially toys) and items that are not available in the Philippines is getting easier. I found this Little Animator doll via Shopee. Though Big Boys Store (a hobby shop) also offered this, I was able to order first before finding it in the store.

Disney Mini Toddler Doll
My 5 year old niece has been collecting these Mini Disney dolls since she was 3 years old. I would often buy her the different Disney Princess that were released. Just this year, I found this Mulan doll. I am glad that little by little more Mulan dolls are finally being made available.

Classic Mulan
I have been seeing this classic Mulan in various toy reviews (abroad) and this is one of those that I tried to look for during my US Trip. I was unsuccessful though in finding her. Thanks to online shopping, I was able to get not only one but two of these dolls. I got them from two separate sellers though. One sells it for P1,300 and I got the other one for P1,000.

Mulan Disney Keyring
This blind bag keyrings I saw in one of the toy reviews that I consistently watch. As the keyrings looked so cute, when the first series was released here, I completed the Disney Princesses. When I found out Mulan was part of series 2, I wasn't really expecting to get her. Again, thanks to online shopping, I was able to get the Mulan keyring before it was released in stores in the Philippines. I wasn't contented though as the keyring I got was customized and embellished with beads. To my delight, Series 2 was released and I got her again.

It always gives me joy to see Mulan toys released. It has always been a challenge looking for these toys but little by little, I am glad that Mulan is finding her way in toy stores. :)

I Found Her!

I found her!

After weeks of going to various toy stores and feeling through boxes of mystery bags, I finally found Jessie to complete Tsum Tsum Series 5 Mystery Packs. :)

Just when I thought I wouldn't find her anymore, one Friday night, on my way home, I decided to spontaneously drop by a mall. I would only need to do a little detour to pass by Southpark Mall in Alabang and though I knew there would be traffic in the area, I decided to still go. I had a good feeling that since there were only a few people who usually go to that mall, I would have a better chance of finding Jessie.

Lo and behold, I did find her at Toys R Us. I was ready to feel through the different packs in the box. They had an entire case in the store, untouched. Expecting to go through the entire box, I was pleasantly surprised to find her on the second bag that I felt.

Finding Jessie completes my hunt for Tsum Tsum Mystery Packs Series 5. I am glad to have completed the collection.

Now, on to waiting for Series 6. :)

Still Incomplete

For the past 2 weeks, I have been on a hunt to complete the Tsum Tsum Mystery Packs Series 5.

Of the 15 characters, I was only able to initially buy 12 and was missing 3 : Boo, Jessie and Tick Tock.

During one of my trips to Festival Mall, I found Boo and Tick Tock. Unfortunately, Jessie is still missing. I have been to several toy stores already and has tried to feel tons of bags to complete the collection.

I was able to get Boo and Tick Tock from Festival Mall's Toy Town and found another Boo (that I also purchased) at the Toy Box of Robinsons Department Store. I searched in all the toy stores as well of Alabang Town Center : Toys R Us, Rustans (they don't have these packs) and Metro Gaisano Toy Department (they still don't have series 5) and have found no Jessie.

I am getting a bit worried that I might not find Jessie. I have seen several unboxing videos of these Mystery Packs and all of the videos I've seen did not have Jessie. It seems that she is the rare one in this series. If this happens, this will be the first time that I will not complete the Tsum Tsum Mystery Packs... but i don't want to get ahead of myself. I have only searched the toy stores in the Alabang area. I will continue to search in other toy stores.

The hunt for Jessie continues...

They're finally OUT!!!!

Tsum Tsum Blind Bags Series 5 are finally out!

These toys jump started my toy addition. I have always loved toys but did not really spend much money on them. When the first series of Tsum Tsum Vinyl from Jakks Pacific first came out, I was immediately interested to collect it. It took a while before I really bought packs but when I started, I couldn't stop... and I didn't.

Fast forward to Series 5, I am still collecting these toys and I have completed the blind bags of all the  previous series.

I have been eagerly waiting for Series 5 and after months of waiting, they are finally out.

I wasn't expecting to find it when I was at Toys R Us and I was pleasantly surprised when I did.

I believe I have "mastered" the art of feeling the bags to avoid duplicates but Toys R Us was kind and considerate enough to label the bags already.

I got all the available characters but out the 15, I only got 12. Will definitely be on the hunt for the 3 missing characters but for now, here are the 12 new characters I got from Tsum Tsum Blind bags. :)

SULLEY
Monsters Inc

JACK
Nightmare Before Christmas

NEMO
Finding Nemo

MUFASA
The Lion King

PETER PAN

KING TRITON
The Little Mermaid

PUMBAA
The Lion King

BARREL
Nightmare Before Christmas

CRUELLA DE VIL
101 Dalmatians

HANK
Finding Dory

ELSA
Frozen

KING LOUIE
The Jungle Book

Now the hunt continues for Boo, Jessie and Tick-Tock to complete the series.

These Tsum Tsum vinyls are too adorable to resist. As they are small, it is very easy to store or display. I can't get enough of them.

It's amazing how Jakks Pacific releases the characters in the different series. They do not release a series that would carry all characters from one specific show. I remember Sebastian (The Little Mermaid) was released in Series 1, Ariel in Series 2, Ursula in Series 4 and now King Triton in Series 5. This makes every new series exciting as I look forward to the characters that will be included.

Series 6 has been released abroad and I am already looking forward to that. However, I would have to first complete Series 5 before getting anxious due to the wait for the next series.
