Mulan Collection (as of August 2017)

Mulan has always been my favorite Disney princess. It has been contested several times is she should even be considered as a princess but princess or not, her character really struck me.

I could easily relate to her due to the strength and courage she has shown. She wasn't the typical damsel in distress that you see in most Disney movies. Don't get me wrong, I also love the others but Mulan for me was a stand out.

Understandably, not most girls fell for her charm. With this, not much merchandise was really released for Mulan.

I was always on a hunt for Mulan items and there weren't much especially here in the Philippines. With the "boom" of Disney toys, there were a variety of dolls, plush, action figures, clothes for the different princesses... but Mulan items were rare.

I started with a simple VCD of the movie. I was happy with that for I knew no matter where I look, I wouldn't be able to find much of these toys. But my patience paid off... I waited... continued searching... and before I knew it, my VCD was surrounded by a bunch of Mulan items.

My First Disney Toddler Doll

This was one of the first Mulan dolls I got. I remember going around Toys R Us and seeing this. I was pleasantly surprised and I knew that I just had to get her. It was a bit pricey for a doll. If I remember correctly, I got this for roughly P2,000.00. I didn't think, I just bought it.

My First Disney Toddler Doll
Disney Plush
I got this from the Disney Store in Jacksonville, Florida for $19.99. I didn't really have to look at the tag price before getting it. I just knew I had to get it as I have never seen one like this here in the Philippines. Bought this plush about 2 or 3 years ago and until this very moment, I haven't seen this here.

Mushu
Mushu is actually the first in the collection. Got it from Chapters and Pages a while back for about only P50.00.

Hasbro Mulan
When Hasbro released their new Disney Princesses, I was ecstatic to find out that Mulan was one of the characters they featured.

Mulan Funko Pop
I started my Funko Pop collection with the gifts of my brother and my parents (Harry Potter Pops : Now that's a new blog all together). Upon starting my Funko obsession, my aunt from Florida saw my FB post and immediately took dibs on buying a Funko Pop Mulan for me.  Of course I had to complete the Funko Pop collection by buying Mushu and Cricket.

Disney Infinity Mulan
I just had to get this though I didn't have the console for it.

Little Kingdom
As usual, Mulan was not released with the first batch of Little Kingdom toys here in the Philippines. I was already collecting the Disney Princesses of Little Kingdom not knowing that Mulan would eventually be released. I remember seeing the Little Kingdom for the first time at Toys R Us at Greenbelt 5. I immediately got it and even looked for another one. I wanted to get more than one of her and I did (when I found her in other toy stores). I was able to get 3 Little Kingdom Mulan (Mulan in a bun).

The second Little Kingdom Mulan (short hair) was a pleasant surprise as well. I got two of her. One I kept in a box and the other one I opened.

Itty Bitty
Again from my aunt in Florida. Glad she got it for me as there are no Itty Bittys available in the Philippine.

Mulan Animator Doll
Also from Florida, the Mulan Animator doll was sent to me together with the Itty Bitty. I have been looking for this doll for years. Though this series was released in the Philippines, I never did find a Mulan doll.

Mulan Little Animator Doll
Thanks to online sellers, looking for hard to find items (especially toys) and items that are not available in the Philippines is getting easier. I found this Little Animator doll via Shopee. Though Big Boys Store (a hobby shop) also offered this, I was able to order first before finding it in the store.

Disney Mini Toddler Doll
My 5 year old niece has been collecting these Mini Disney dolls since she was 3 years old. I would often buy her the different Disney Princess that were released. Just this year, I found this Mulan doll. I am glad that little by little more Mulan dolls are finally being made available.

Classic Mulan
I have been seeing this classic Mulan in various toy reviews (abroad) and this is one of those that I tried to look for during my US Trip. I was unsuccessful though in finding her. Thanks to online shopping, I was able to get not only one but two of these dolls. I got them from two separate sellers though. One sells it for P1,300 and I got the other one for P1,000.

Mulan Disney Keyring
This blind bag keyrings I saw in one of the toy reviews that I consistently watch. As the keyrings looked so cute, when the first series was released here, I completed the Disney Princesses. When I found out Mulan was part of series 2, I wasn't really expecting to get her. Again, thanks to online shopping, I was able to get the Mulan keyring before it was released in stores in the Philippines. I wasn't contented though as the keyring I got was customized and embellished with beads. To my delight, Series 2 was released and I got her again.

It always gives me joy to see Mulan toys released. It has always been a challenge looking for these toys but little by little, I am glad that Mulan is finding her way in toy stores. :)
